Summary/Bio
As a filmmaker, Thomas strives for impact through storytelling, unveiling documentaries studying the intersection of multiple fields previously thought unconnected. In 2023, his short film Our Silent Volcano received the prestigious American Visions award, and his film The Associated Press: The First Centralization of Fact-Based News aired on PBS. In addition, his films have been recognized by national and international festivals, including the Visionaries Film Festival, the Student Los Angeles Film Awards, and the United Kingdom International Student Film Festival. These official selections at festivals have garnered over 100,000 live views and several audience choice awards.
Thomas has studied film at Northwestern University's National High School Institute film program and was a student curator for the Mill Valley Film Festival, where he programmed two full-length short film blocks. Thomas also studied film scoring at the Interlochen Center for the Arts film scoring intensive, and his films often showcase original music.
